Future Flames Junior School

Fratam Junior School is located in Kasubi, near Kampala City, and was founded in 2010 by two teachers.

The school experienced significant setbacks during the COVID-19 pandemic, largely due to the low-income status of many parents, which made school operations challenging.

In response, B’Creativity has provided targeted support by constructing a girls’ bathroom and toilets to address menstrual health challenges that had previously hindered girls’ school attendance and completion.

Additionally, the organization supported repairs to broken classroom windows and improved the school kitchen, creating a safer, more supportive, and inclusive learning environment.

Impact In Action : Future Flames Food Project

Like many community schools, Future Flames struggles to provide basic needs as parents face financial hardship. One of the biggest challenges is simply ensuring that children have enough food to learn and thrive.

In an effort to become self-sustaining, the school introduced goats and chickens to support meals and generate income. Tragically, all the animals were stolen in a single night.

Through the support of BCreativity, the school now has a secure perimeter wall and gate. This has not only restored hope, but created a safe environment where livestock and crops can thrive — securing the future of the school.

Impact:

  • Reliable access to nutritious meals for children

  • Hands-on learning through farming and animal care

  • A safer, more secure school for the whole community
