Harriet Naomi Namusoke

Founder

Harriet Naomi Namusoke is a dedicated educator whose career reflects a strong commitment to creativity, early childhood development and educational transformation. Trained in both Uganda and the UK, she holds a First Class degree in Primary Education and has gained valuable experience as a teacher and school leader, including her role as Deputy Head of Infants at Kampala Parents’ School and headship positions in UK nursery and pre-primary settings. Motivated by a passion for improving learning experiences for children, she founded BCreativity Charity and went on to establish the Basena Creativity Centre in Uganda, a space designed to nurture curiosity, imagination, and child-led learning. Her work has included rescuing a struggling school, training teachers through workshops and refresher programmes, and providing educational materials to nursery and primary schools. Harriet continues to champion quality education while contributing to UK schools through her current work as a supply teacher.

What’s your background?

I’ve worked in business development and partnership strategy for over 18 years, with the past seven specialising in finance and technology. My career has centred on building strong ecosystems, driving strategic growth and developing long-term, high-value relationships across corporate sectors.

What experience do you bring to the Bcreativity Team?

Professionally, I bring deep strategic capability, strong communication and disciplined execution to Bcreativity’s mission. I support the organisation through growth planning, partnership development and corporate engagement. Throughout my career, I’ve excelled at building meaningful, high-value relationships and driving initiatives that deliver measurable, sustainable impact skills that transfer directly into strengthening Bcreativity’s long-term vision.

Why did you want to get involved with Bcreativity?

For the past 20 years, I’ve been an active contributor to social-impact work in the UK, including leading three Run Dem Crew Youngers programmes, serving as a run leader with GoodGym, and supporting grassroots programme development and fundraising for England Athletics following the 2012 Olympics.

But, my connection to Bcreativity began two years ago when my personal journey led me back to my Christian faith. It was through the church that I met my dear friendHarriet, and our friendship, grounded in shared belief, reshaped my understanding of service and how it can transcend global distance and circumstance. When I discovered what Harriet and John had quietly built over 15 years with so little external support, I was deeply moved. I knew immediately that I wanted to contribute my skills, time and heart to helping advance their mission.

How do you embody Bcreativity in your life?

My “Bcreativity” is fuelled by my lifelong passion for movement and imagination. I find grounding and joy in training at the gym and in walking or hiking through the countryside. My creativity sparks most vividly when I read, whether it’s a compelling autobiography, gripping historical fiction, or ancient philosophical teachings. I love the feeling of being transported to another space and time. The same is true when I listen to my vinyl record collection, an eclectic music library I have my father to thank for. I am also excitedly preparing to become a mother for the first time in 2026 perhaps my most thrilling, creative and meaningful chapter yet and one I feel deeply grateful for.
