How Our Journey Began
BCreativity began with a simple, powerful discovery during my visits to schools in Uganda: children learn best when creativity is woven into their world.
Having taught in both Uganda and the UK, I witnessed the same transformation — when children explore, imagine and create, their confidence grows, their curiosity sharpens, and learning becomes joyful.
This belief inspired the foundation of Basena Agro Creativity Centre, located on the outskirts of Kampala.
The name “Basena,” meaning “to scoop,” symbolises children eagerly scooping knowledge, skills and experiences through play, creativity and discovery.

A dynamic space with games, numeracy tools and early childhood technology that inspire curiosity in maths, problem-solving and digital skills.
Physical Education Zone
A dedicated area designed to strengthen coordination, improve health and support cognitive development — giving children the physical foundation to excel.
Music, Dance & Drama Arena
A vibrant stage where children lead performances, express themselves creatively, and build confidence that often surprises even their parents.
The Wonder Garden & Open Kitchen
A living outdoor classroom featuring more than 50 plant species — from fruit trees and vegetables to coffee, cocoa, cotton and potatoes. Beside the garden, an open kitchen allowed children to experience organic cooking directly from harvest to plate.

Short History
Growing Beyond Our Walls
As Basena Agro Creativity Centre flourished, so did its reputation.
Over time, we were approached to support a school that was on the brink of closure due to financial and administrative challenges.
BCreativity stepped in — bringing creativity-led learning, structured support, and renewed hope into the school.
This moment marked a turning point in our journey:
BCreativity expanded from a single centre to a wider movement dedicated to strengthening community schools, empowering teachers, and transforming education across Uganda.
